I play electric drums in Urquides, a band based in Boise, Idaho. Our music explores the complexities of culture and identity through narratives in both Spanish and English.
I created visuals influenced by Mariachi patterns and the concept of duality. This idea draws on the relationship between our bilingual lyrics, interchanging female and male vocals, and different song styles by utilizing both hand drawn patterns and textures juxtaposed against digital imagery and typography.
